CLHQ has approved two new Treasure Troop recruits to explore the CLD cautiously after deciding that the existence of Species NULL and an anomalous blue substance implies the presence of a possible ecosystem, and potential undiscovered hazards.
With Troops traversing the cloud regularly, CLHQ has deemed it essential to better understand the nature of the dimension from within, explore and find out if there are other dangers or risks inherent with travel in and through the dimension.
As head linekeeper and troop manager, Sir Tiny Tim proposed an adventurous couple he felt were especially suited for the job. Iowa Jones and Louisiana Rose have accepted the role of Cloud Explorers. They'll be tasked with followed leads and their instincts by using the tools CLHQ and the Treasure Troops provide to safely document their findings.
Iowa and Lou have extensive experience exploring unknown biomes, visiting unseen places, being handled by entities much larger and more powerful than themselves and coming out unscathed, and much more. CLHQ hopes this new venture will produce additional knowledge that examination of the CLD from this side of the divide wouldn't be able to produce.
Iowa and Lou have prepared introductory greetings:
Hi! I'm Iowa Jones, but people just call me Indy. I don't know why. But, I like it.
I have been an explorer for as long as I can remember, and boy have I seen some things! I'm excited to set off on a new adventure exploring this cloud-thingy I'm told is one heck of new a frontier. I don't need to know a lot before I step into the uncharted - I let instinct and reflex be my guide. I'm thankful for my trusty partner Louisianna who's my wonderful other half, and keeps my footing solid.
I have briefly already expeditioned into the Cloud, as y'all call it, just to get a feel for those slick lookin' lines. And it really is quite the experience, those portals! I'm also quite looking forward to playing with some new high-tech toys courtesy of HQ.
This is me saying howdy, and I hope to see y'all soon with some fantastical findings!
And I'm Lou, short for Louisianna, where I was made.
I wanna thank CLHQ for recruiting me for my experience, and I really believe that my steady mind and hand will really help keep the insatiable Iowa Jones on task as we head into the unknown for y'all.
I mean, from what I've briefly seen with my own eyes peering into the CLD, it's such an amazingly deep, endless space filled with line after endless line. At one point though I did manage to spot what looked like a NULL creature from a distance. That sure got my blood pumping. I can't wait to get back in there as your official hired hand and see what awaits!
Together Indy and I aim to make some progress in there and answer some questions, capture some sights, and see if there are any other hidden gems waiting to be found. I kinda want to find a NULL to keep as a pet (but Indy's not too keen on that one). Unless, of course, it wants to bite my leg off. Then I'll mark that one down as a hazard to be avoided.
Haha! Y'all will be hearing from us soon!
CLHQ will provide approved updates from the team as new data emerges and becomes available. Watch this space for announcements.
The Treasure Troops is a small corps of specialized toys recruited to help boost energy in the CLD by improving the quality of experience enjoyed by people finding geocaches. The troops target geocaches that have a shortage of swag within the container, transporting via Cloud Portals through the CLD along cache lines to the destination target, then find the geocache and call in a selection of swag from back at CLHQ. They depart the scene swiftly before the target geocache is found again by a geocacher.
Increased swag has shown to boost the positive energy emitted within the CLD by the geocacher; especially in younger children who are prone to see things in geocaches as treasure. The Treasure Troops take pride in their missions to improve the geocaching experience for finders.
The Treasure Troops are led by the head Line Keeper, Sir Tiny Tim.
