Have you ever imagined finding diamonds in a geocache? Gems? Or imagined how many kinds of toy cars or handmade dolls, or hand-carved crafts there could be? Maybe you collect keychains, or when some of us were children had a collection of marbles. Maybe you're overjoyed at finding loose change.
Has it ever seemed like the swag and treasures you've been finding in geocache containers has been going down hill?
It's no secret that a sub-par experience is waiting for you when you find a geocache that is empty of treasures, or is filled with moisture, rust, mold, or a rotting candy bar.
Well, in an effort to give the "treasure hunt" experience of geocaching a boost, especially for the younger folk (in body OR in heart!), Cache Line HQ is launching a new line of collectible swag cards!
Swag cards are records of items that CLHQ's Archeology teams have recovered for analysis and catalogued from a selection of geocaches located around the world, and during expeditions of exploration throughout the Cache Line Dimension.
These items may include everything from spare pens and toys and trinkets, to intricate and ornate gems and crafts and much much more. There are also a number of items documented by CLHQ that are categorized as "Relics" - announced recently in a news release.
The goal of this initial release of 200 unique items as a collectible set of trading cards is to give a boost to the positive energy found in the happiness of finding treasure-filled geocache containers. This initiative joins with that of the Treasure Troops who are also painstakingly and daily traveling the Cache Line Dimension to keep geocaches well stocked with collectible swag.
These cards also indicate attributes documented to describe variants of CLD energy, or Cloud Energy, for those items classed as Relics. When this transdimensional energy is detected, they may fall in line with any one or more of the four Fortitudes: Earth, Life, Sense, and Quest. For holders of Cache Line Artifacts - the Line Guardians - association with these items may provide extra boosts.
Additionally, the Swag Card booster pack is a prelude to a much larger initiative to be launched at an upcoming date. CLHQ will be presenting CACHE HUNTERS - a collectible trading card game (TCG) for the Geocaching world! Swag cards are one element to the game that will provide bonus abilities and trading power as you form your team of adventurers to set out on the hunt for geocaches.
This launch of the increasing catalogue of Swag cards will usher in the launch of the full geocaching TCG later in the year. Special exclusive cards - other than swag cards - will also be collectible prior to the game's launch!
With this year 2025, we are celebrating 25 years of geocaching! CLHQ has created a number of additional exclusive collectible cards that can be attained to begin your collection of CACHE HUNTERS game cards! Including:
Geowoodstock: Attendees who receive an event swag bag will also receive a special Geowoodstock exclusive game card!
25 Years of Geocaching: While supplies last, those who accomplish certain specified activities or tasks at celebration events attended by CLHQ or Cache The Line will also be given a bonus Event game card to add to your collection!
The swag Swag Card card: The first to purchase and order swag cards this year, will also be given a bonus exclusive (and highly 'meta') Swag card to add to your collection, while supplies last!
